With all the tips and advice out there, it can be hard to know exactly what you need to do to get results.

It can get even more frustrating when you are trying seemingly everything and getting literally zero results.

At this point, you might even be wondering IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE (especially with the holidays rolling around and all the distractions)??

It is possible. 1000 percent. And how am I so confident in this?

Not only have I personally lost over 50 lbs. without dieting or restriction, but I have coached nearly 2000 women in getting the same results.

So I am going to dish up the juicy details so you can start seeing results ASAP.

Mistake #1: Restricting Foods ❌

Most diets recommend cutting out some type of food to lose weight, but that is leading to HUGE metabolic disruption.

If you have been trying to lose weight for some time, then you likely have been restricting key nutrients and energy needed for your body to function optimally.

This does not make your body more efficient at fat loss, it stresses it out!

When your body is stressed, it goes into a protective state and stores as much food and energy as possible to survive the famine.

So the more you restrict, the more your body stores.

Instead, we need to focus on what we can ADD to your diet to support optimal health.

This means we need to consider the following aspects:

  1. What is the base energy your body needs to function and what are you currently eating? From there, we create a stepwise plan to increase your energy intake to boost your metabolic function.
  2. Once we do this then your body becomes more willing and efficient at burning fat.


Mistake #2: Overtraining 😪

When you hear overtraining – it is easy to think we mean doing too much or going too hard.

But that is not the case.

Most people overwork themselves by doing too much of the same type of exercise or too much of a particular intensity type.

Leading to your body adapting quickly, not being challenged by the workout, and you are just going in and burning the candle.

Let me break this down:

🏃‍♀️ If you go in and do the same type of cardio at the same heart rate or calorie burn

🏋️‍♀️ If you lift the same rep ranges all the time and do very similar movements

To force adaptation we need to add progressive overloads.

Your body (like the earlier point) will do whatever it can to preserve energy and protect fat. So if you do the same exact workouts over and over, your body learns how to do it using even less energy and preserving its precious fat stores.

So then you just get exhausted (both physically and mentally) because you are doing the same thing without any change – which is the exact definition of insanity.


Mistake 3: Ignoring Hormones 😖

Every aspect of the metabolism is regulated by hormones. So, when it comes to weight, if your hormones are out of balance, losing weight will be a struggle even when traditional diet plans and exercise. Until you balance your hormones and manage your stress, you will have problems with stubborn weight, mood, sleep, energy, and a host of other frustrating symptoms.

As women, we have hormonal shifts that happen daily which influence your metabolic rate, the intensity that you can handle, your energy levels, the types of nutrients you need, and the types of energy that you need!

So if you are eating the same thing every day, working out the same way every day, and expecting to perform the same way day in and out you will FOR SURE burn out.

That burnout leads to increased stress, and your stress hormone cortisol, which leads to increased fat storage resistance to weight loss.

So this means we need to:

  1. Understand your current hormone imbalances and symptom patterns and heal these imbalances. A great place to start is with my free hormone assessment.
  2. Adapt your energy intake and workouts to MATCH your hormonal cycle rather than right them. This is known as hormone balance nutrition and fitness.


Bonus reason number 4, is you are trying to cherry-pick pieces of advice and hope that they work, rather than getting an actual SYSTEM.

You cannot copy-paste someone else’s strategy for success because YOU are uniquely different.

You have different metabolic damage, different lifestyle needs, different time commitments, and different preferences…

…and all of this ABSOLUTELY matters when it comes to long-term success.

Because your system needs to account for all of this, it needs to heal your systems, and it needs to be something that is sustainable. Because if you cannot sustain it, you cannot be consistent.

And consistency is where true transformations come from.
